I’ve got something special to share with you today. ☺Something that I think will be very helpful during this Winter season.
5 tips to stay positive and productive when you are ill.
Spend time doing things that relax and restore you. For me this includes thinking kind thoughts to myself, meditating, burning incense and lighting candles, eating good wholesome food, drinking lots of water, stretching and having a high level of personal hygiene.
2. Focus on what you can do
You may not be able to be physically active but you can still think and laugh and love and pray.
The beloved Nelson Mandela managed incredible transformations in his mind and being all from inside a tiny prison cell. So take time to do others things and focus on what you can do.
Reading is such a wonderful thing to do. Try audio books, read blogs, read a gripping piece of fiction, read a trashy magazine. Anything! Just read and grow your mind.
4. Enjoy nourishing food and drink lots of water
This is very important as this will give your body the tools and materials it needs to recover, to regenerate, overcome the illness and to grow back stronger.
5. Plan for your return!
Get excited for what you are going to do when you are feeling better. Will you go out and dance? Crush it at the gym? Spend time with loved ones?
Whatever it is, every day spent sick is a day closer to being better!
