New Years Inspiration: nothing is impossible

Good morning,

I hope that you enjoyed my first post from Dax! Today I’d like to remind you of something I re learned yesterday: nothing is inpossible.

Me at Energi in Preston, Lancashire, England
Yesterday, after less than an hour I was able to perform side and backwards somersaults. If you had told me I could do this, I might have said it would be inpossible. But it wasn’t! What you don’t see in this video is how many times I tried and failed, fell over, scraped my elbow and how out of breath I was. But I did it! And let me tell you, when you land that first flip onto your feet properly, you feel incredible, you have broken through a barrier and lifted the bar on what is possible for your body.

Here are 3 things I learned yesterday:

1. When attempting something difficult, do not give up

This is simple to understand but not easy to do. Just keep going despite how many times you are getting it wrong. Listen to feedback, change bits and keep going!

2. Do not over think, let go of everything

This changed things for me. Once I quietened my mind I was able to just focus on moving and to be inside the movement properly.

3.Take advise from those better than you and stay humble

I was very lucky as there were several members of the street monkeys team available to provide information, give demos and help me out. I stayed humble, remained willing to learn and because of this, progressed quickly.

So there you go, things that seem impossible really can be done in a very short space of time. I hope that these tips inspire and help you towards success and happiness in your life and that when you get discouraged, remember that humans can now- fly, split atoms, clone things, travel in space, communicate world wide in seconds and tap into our infinite potential.

Remember, nothing is impossible!

Love,

Michael
